  Stephen McGown

  Stephen McGown was abducted by Al Qaeda up in north Africa while riding a motorcycle from London down to South Africa in 2011. He was held for 5 years 8 months and released towards the end of 2017. He held the record for being the longest held surviving Al Qaeda Hostage in the world. Since his release he has become a sort after Keynote speaker for corporates, forums and schools both locally and internationally. He wrote a book called “Six years with Al Qaeda” which won the South African book awards, adult non-fiction category and the book is subsequently being turned into an international movie.

  Melinda McKinley is a strategic HR and Business leader, with extensive expertise in transforming functional strategies to drive and sustain strong business outcomes, through a career spanning multiple locations across UK, Europe, Singapore and Australia. In her current role as Global Head of HR Strategy and Digital Transformation for Standard Chartered, Melinda is responsible for an ambitious digital agenda aimed to modernise and transform the HR experience for the ~85 000 colleagues in 50+ markets across the Bank, as well as holding the COO position across the function. Prior to moving to Standard Chartered Bank almost 7 years ago, Melinda had a long career in HR Management Consulting where she helped clients across all industries to define and solve for their business challenges.

  Tim is a self-professed MRO materials management tragic that began his career on the opposite side of the divide in production planning world, but once he experienced the problems and potential within the world of MRO…he never looked back. Tim has lived and worked all over the world is several different industries but now calls Australia home. His passion for process improvement, 29 years of SAP experience, and MRO materials management has led him here to regularly speak about his learnings and experience.
