Suntory Oceania, one of the largest beverage manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand, partnered with DXC Technology to build a fully integrated SAP S/4HANA platform at the heart of its new carbon-neutral Swanbank facility in Queensland — the largest FMCG investment in Australia in the past decade. The SAP S/4HANA manufacturing transformation was extended with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), PP-PI for process manufacturing, Quality Management, and Plant Maintenance, enabling Suntory to shift from discrete to process manufacturing while supporting more than 30 million cases produced annually. At the core of the solution is a rare, industry-leading integration between SAP EWM and the facility’s operational technology layer, connecting a 30,000-pallet Automated Storage and Retrieval System, Line Management Systems, RORO dock automation, and real-time batching through SAP BTP/CPI middleware.
