SAP Maintenance Management

Maintenance Management

is giving special attention to each physical asset to keep it running at peak performance. By physically keeping equipment maintenance up to date, uptime and productivity are maximized. A computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) can be used primarily to manage the maintenance of equipment and machinery. Asset management will take a holistic view of the entire lifecycle, to analyze data for the work to be performed on that asset. This includes planning, procurement, operations, and the disposal of assets. This optimizes the quality and utilization of the assets to improve uptime, reduce operational costs, and mitigate risk.

SAP Maintenance Management is an SAP S/4HANA Cloud software that performs maintenance management by three main activities:

  1. Asset operations and planning: Monitor time sensitive work for maintenance and spare parts inventory.
  2. Maintenance scheduling. Track work status and build schedules through simulations for scope and workload.
  3. Maintenance execution. Complete planned or unplanned maintenance tasks more efficiently.

Industries can spend billions of dollars to install, operate, and maintain all types of assets. Digital technologies can offer tremendous opportunities for organizations to modernize their asset management operations. SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software allows you to maintain and service physical assets with real-time insights, the internet of things (loT), machine learning, mobility, and predictive analysis.

Key Capabilities for SAP Enterprise Asset Management include:

  • Complete maintenance management, with demand processing, planning and mobile execution
  • Smart maintenance scheduling with resource allocation for people, tools, and materials
  • Real-time analytics and insight into maintenance costs, breakdown rates, and damages
  • Asset performance monitoring with proactive issue detection and response
