⇨ Syniti's Rapid Data Governance (RDG) automates deployment of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), accelerating time-to-value and reducing implementation risks.
⇨ Collaboration with Merit Energy demonstrated the effectiveness of Syniti's solutions, achieving on-time and on-budget implementations while enhancing internal team capabilities for data governance.
Data governance is a system of processes and standards that ensure data is protected, accurate and usable. Data governance integrations can help organizations make better decisions, improve costs, enhance regulatory compliance, prevent data breaches, better locate data assets, collaborate on projects, and innovate quickly and more efficiently.
Many organizations have leveraged SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) to centrally govern their master data. Moreover, data management platform providers like Syniti help organizations drive greater value with their SAP MDG implementation.
With Syniti’s Rapid Data Governance (RDG), organizations can leverage the power of automation to accelerate SAP MDG deployment and bolster business growth.

Developed on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), Syniti’s RDG accelerates time-to-value and reduces risks related to traditional SAP MDG implementations. Additionally, the solution streamlines data model maintenance by creating a new data model and adding attributes with a graphical user interface, the integration also features easy rule generation, which reduces manual data entry, and requires no development skills to use.
Tapping into SAP MDG
Syniti collaborated with Merit Energy, one of the largest privately held US-based oil and gas companies by production volume to implement data migration and governance. The oil and gas company sought a data migration partner to support its SAP S/4HANA implementation.
Having previously leveraged SAP solutions, Merit had also purchased an SAP MDG license to deploy the solution in many of its business domains. Merit needed a maintainable solution that could be supported by its internal team post implementation and to extend MDG’s Business Partner model to support domain-specific data model extensions such as SAP’s Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA) module.
Syniti’s SAP Advanced Data Migration and Management solution for (SAP ADMM) was implemented to support Merit’s data migration to S/4HANA. Syniti RDG was also deployed to facilitate the data model extension for the PRA module.
Clayton Brown, SAP project manager at Merit Energy, said: “[RDG] enabled the Syniti resources to deliver on time and budget. Syniti’s team of data experts helped the company enable internal processes and bring team members up to speed on how to maintain the system.
“The training was fairly intuitive, ” commented Brown. “Syniti was adaptable to our project delivery approach and patient with our process. In addition, certain resources spent a good amount of time with us going above and beyond on some critical issues. Syniti resources were onboarded relatively quickly.”
Syniti delivered the deployments for Merit on time and within budget. The implementation included creating and configuring archiving reconciliation reports for six key data objects, which include accounts payable, receivables, general ledger, cost allocations, customers and vendors. These reports give Merit real-time insight into data errors, helping the company on its data governance journey.
