Mastering SAP today announced the Mastering SAP Women in SAP Scholarship for women new to the SAP world. The scholarship program, valued at over $70,000, is designed to provide women* new to the SAP ecosystem with a learning and networking opportunity to kick-start their SAP career.
Mastering SAP will provide 20 scholarships annually split across two intakes, one in March / April and one in September / October. Each intake provides ten women in APAC customer / end-user organisations with a twelve-month Mastering SAP premium membership – including attending the Mastering SAP event and hotel accommodation.

“Belonging to a community of like-minds and relevant resources is important for those starting out with SAP,” said Annette Slunjski, Chief Executive Officer – APAC at Mastering SAP. “These scholarships are our way to support women in the SAP world to learn from leading thinkers across the globe and join a vibrant community they can lean on to understand the real-world experiences of others.
“With the Mastering SAP event a key part of the annual membership, scholarship recipients will gain a full pass to the event plus accommodation, so they have a chance to build networks and deepen understanding over two days.”
The scholarship judging panel is drawn from the Mastering SAP community and includes Tina Rosario, Chief Data Officer, Europe, SAP France; Ava Kodeiri, former Head of Enterprise Applications, Device Technologies; Colleen Hebbert, APJ Cyber Security and Compliance Advisory Hub Lead, SAP Australia; and Rushenka Perera, Head of Marketing ANZ, SAP Australia.

According to Colleen Hebbert, APJ Cyber Security and Compliance Advisory Hub Lead, SAP Australia “this is a great opportunity to encourage women from all walks of life – studying, entering the workforce, re-entering the workforce, and changing their career paths to get their start in SAP. For many, this scholarship is the much needed first step – an open invitation to join our community regardless of their exposure to SAP, and become valued for their contributions. In a similar theme, Rushenka Perera, Head of Marketing ANZ, SAP Australia, noted “giving young women an opportunity, that may otherwise not be available to them, to network and learn from those in the industry, is important to growing the diversity and maintaining female retention in our SAP ecosystem. I’m very supportive of this initiative and grateful to Mastering SAP for launching this initiative.”
The first intake for the scholarship opens on 11 March 2024 and provides ten women with the opportunity to be awarded a two-day pass to the Mastering SAP Collaborate event on 22-23 May 2024 in Melbourne, Australia and two nights’ accommodation at the Crown Promenade. To apply, women simply need to complete the application form and outline why attending the event would be beneficial to their career.
“Not only will the scholarship recipients gain a fantastic community experience, they will also will see over 24 women on stage and attend the Women in SAP breakfast – showcasing role models, potential mentors, and building networks of like-minds,” noted Slunjski.
