Drew Troyer
Drew Troyer is the Global Group Head of Asset Management at Rio Tinto, leading a global team responsible for mobile mining equipment, fixed plant operations, and infrastructure support assets. With over 30 years of experience in asset management, Drew is dually qualified as a Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), demonstrating deep expertise in both reliability and energy management. Renowned for driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and safety in large-scale mining operations, Drew is a champion of Lean, proactive, and precision maintenance. A frequent speaker at international conferences, Drew holds a master’s degree in environmental Sustainability from Harvard University and is deeply connected to the Toyota Production System and Lean methodologies. Based in Salt Lake City, he is focused on creating excellence in physical asset management for Rio Tinto’s global asset base.
