From SAP R3 3.1h to S/4 HANA 2021, there have been numerous updates in EAM. But has it really changed? From an End User’s perspective, not significantly. For many End Users, especially Tradespeople and Operational personnel, the system hasn't changed much.
Over the years, businesses have become more data-driven, building analytics from SAP data on every aspect of EAM to improve asset efficiency and reliability. This raises the question: has anyone considered the impact of these increased data requirements on End Users who just want to do their job?
In this session, we will explore what it was like for an End User in the early days of SAP and compare it with current expectations to meet data requirements.
Key points to be covered include:
• End User training. What has changed?
• End Users and Notifications. Is the expectation too high for some users?
• How do I find and list my jobs?
• Completing the job, such as Time Confirmation, adding fault codes, Malfunction information, etc.
The GUI vs. Fiori debate has been prominent for many years. From an End User’s perspective, I will showcase some of the improvements AGL has made with Fiori to help End Users complete their tasks in SAP.
