SAP recently announced it will discontinue its SAP ONE Support Launchpad May 23, 2023 and fully migrate its online support to SAP for Me. In the intervening weeks, SAP ONE Support Launchpad users will be directed to SAP for Me.
In a news release, SAP said the transition to SAP for Me is designed to “streamline access to SAP support and aggregates alerts, self-services, and metrics for full transparency and a comprehensive end-to-end view of the individual SAP product portfolio.”
Consolidation
SAP says SAP for Me consolidates information and support for all SAP solutions, offering interaction with SAP support experts and guidance to solutions that can help users find the best solutions for business tasks.
SAP for me comes with a few terminology updates: what were once called “incidents” are now “cases.” Further, a “tile” that performed support activities in the SAP ONE Support Launchpad will henceforth be known as “cards.”
Personalization
When getting started with SAP for Me, users can opt for personalized onboarding. That way, they can select topics and tasks that apply to their needs, and SAP will identify cards that may be helpful, and put them on your homepage. It can also identify previous tiles used in SAP ONE Support Launchpad and present those to users automatically.
Users who already have Launchpad S-user authorizations will not need additional access authorization for SAP for Me. SAP also announced the SAP for Me mobile app, so users can have support interactions on the go.
AI Support
SAP for Me will leverage AI to help predict what product categories a user may have questions about or need assistance with to help move them to the appropriate support channel. Users can decide whether they want to chat with or call an expert, ask a peer, or request assistance from the wider SAP community.
What this means for SAPinsiders
SAP for Me is designed to be a “central digital touchpoint” for all SAP solutions and the first jumping off point users will need to utilize to find help when facing an SAP-related challenge. It is designed to provide a simple and transparent option that cuts down on the number of portals and tools that emerged over time.
SAP for Me is SAP’s answer to the requests of many users for a seamless and personalized online support experience. SAP organizations can find automated solutions or opt for a more personalized approach with available experts.
