More freedom on SAP Build
SAP Build allows developers to create applications, automate processes, and build digital workspaces. It’s designed for professionals, who can use pro-code development, as well as non-professionals, who can use drag-and-drop interfaces and pre-built components. It’s all underpinned by generative AI tools so developers can make their time count.
These new capabilities give developers more freedom of choice:
- Developers can now use Cursor, Claude Code, Cline, Windsurf, and other agentic development solutions with SAP development frameworks on local Model Context Protocol Servers
- Those using Visual Studio Code can now access SAP Build capabilities in their own development environments using the SAP Build extension, which SAP plans to make available on Open VSX Registry
- Developers who use Joule Studio will have new tools, as SAP and n8n announced plans to make their agents work together, enhancing SAP’s ready-to-use agents, and allowing developers to build new agents grounded in SAP business data.
SAP BDC is expanding
At the event, SAP announced that Snowflake joined Databricks and Google Cloud in the SAP BDC Connect partnership.
The launch of the new SAP Snowflake solution extension was the highlight of Snowflake’s entrance into the partnership. The extension will give developers the ability to use Snowflake’s data and AI capabilities with the SAP BDC.
SAP also announced a new SAP HANA Cloud knowledge graph engine, which automatically generates knowledge graphs, mapping relationships across the SAP BDC.
Navigating Common Business Scenarios
Business leaders increasingly depend on developers to empower their teams to transform data into actionable insight. SAP introduced its first enterprise relational foundation model (SAP-RPT-1) to help developers meet that requirement.
The company designed the SAP-RPT-1 to make fast and accurate predictions following common business challenges affecting procurement, accounting, and sales.
SAP also announced new AI assistants in Joule that coordinate agents, allowing logistics, finance, and HR professionals to manage complex tasks. These assistants are complemented by new AI agents; one is designed to help technical users produce business process analysis, identifying risks and opportunities across workflows.
