⇨ SAP engages with its developer community through events to showcase the capabilities of BTP, like Hack2Build

⇨ FPT Software leveraged BTP to build a B2B sales tool over seven days to finish second runner-up globally at Hack2Build

The introduction of SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) has enabled developers to focus on building solutions for business instead of worrying about the underlying tech, while also democratising cloud app development for SAP systems beyond just ABAP developers.

SAP BTP enables developers to build a solution quickly and easily to get it to market, go live or production ready.

To demonstrate the power and speed of BTP development, SAP recently brought together a select group of developers from across its partner ecosystem to showcase their creativity and speed of prototyping a solution over seven days.

The Hack2Build event focused on the entrants’ clean-core use case for extending SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition functionality. Teams were assessed based on SAP technology, architecture and design, business, presentation, inspiration and innovation.

Vietnam-headquartered FPT Software finished second runnerup from a global field of 18 teams with its “mySalesPro” mobile assistant solution.

The solution for business-to-business (B2B) sales teams uses AI to generate sales rebate programs and frequently asked questions, offering customers quick access to product and service information, promotion details and multimedia showcases. It also simplifies the creation of sales rebates and contracts, while also providing customer management capabilities on mobile devices like tablets and smartphones.

mySalesPro leveraged SAP BTP integrated with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition and the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) on SAP HANA Cloud. It also used SAP Fiori for its front-end architecture and SAP Mobile Services for the mobile app, which is built using the cross-platform SAP MDK SDK.

“This accomplishment reinforces our position as a leader in leveraging SAP technologies to create impactful business solutions,” FPT Software SAP program lead and managing director of Enterprise Business Services Division Ngo Minh Tri said.

“By utilising SAP S/4HANA Cloud services, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Business AI, we provide our global clients with an intelligent, sustainable enterprise core that offers modular connectivity across all lines of business.”
