The Australian Federal Police is seeking talent to support migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA ahead of the planned end of support for the former in 2027.
The AFP engaged technical consultants with skills in SAP ECC 6 to SAP S/4HANA migrations through a request for quotation (RFQ) that ran from April to May.
“The AFP will be undertaking discovery and will develop a roadmap for upgrade to S/4HANA,” an AFP spokesperson told Mastering SAP.

“This upgrade is planned due to the expiry of ECC 6 maintenance and support. This is scheduled to occur in 2027.”
The AFP aims to run the discovery over a year-long process to determine its requirements to proceed with the migration.
According to the RFQ, the AFP was seeking an SAP HR and/or payroll functional or business analyst, specifically one with functional experience in an SAP ECC6 HR/Payroll module and any experience in upgrading the module from SAP ECC6.0 to SAP S/4HANA (SAP SuccessFactors) would be “advantageous”.
“All SAP products, including SAP SuccessFactors, will be considered during discovery and the development of the AFP ERP Transformation roadmap,” the spokesperson added.
Also mentioned in the RFQ was the AFP also sought experience in business process optimisation in SAP Payroll, Personnel Administration, Organization Management and Time Recording modules.
The AFP also listed experience in business documentation tools like SAP Signavio, ARIS and Visio.
