SAP Datasphere has added some new generative AI features and a new integration with SAP Analytics Cloud, aimed to improve enterprise planning.
SAP’s generative AI assistant Joule has been added to SAP Analytics Cloud to automate the creation of reports, dashboards, plans and more. Through the SAP HANA Cloud vector engine, large language models are combined with an organisation’s relevant data.
SAP has also expanded its partnership with data catalogue software vendor Collibra to integrate the latter’s AI Governance solution with SAP data assets.
Collibra’s solution will govern policies, processes and practices of AI across SAP’s data assets, helping provide transparency and accountability for organizations and help ensure regulatory, compliance and privacy policies are met.
SAP Datasphere also has a new knowledge graph to help organisations unearth insights and patterns across applications and systems.
A new integration for SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud is aimed to power cross-organisational planning, offering a single data management system along with advanced analytics.
SAP Analytics Cloud also has a new compass capability to help realise better outcomes in planning and analytics through data-driven simulation.
SAP said the innovations would help customers “harness the full power of their data” to drive deeper insights, faster growth and more efficiency, with SAP Datasphere aimed to transform enterprise planning.
“In today’s data-driven world, organizations in Southeast Asia (SEA) are recognizing that impactful decisions can only be made when quality data sits at the core of their business strategies,” SAP Southeast Asia President and Managing Director Verena Siow said in a blog post.
“The emergence of AI in our business landscape has changed the way we operate. According to a report by Kearney, AI has the potential to increase SEA economy by US$1 trillion by 2030. The digital economy demands we leverage AI and cloud capabilities, not just as a support, but a driving force to accelerate innovation and progress.”
SAP said business data fabric was at the heart of these announcements, equipping organisations to deliver meaningful data to data consumers with business context and logic intact.
“Capturing data to make better decisions is an enterprise technology imperative that’s become increasingly critical as AI – which relies on quality data – revolutionizes every aspect of business,” SAP CTO Juergen Mueller said.
“Our newest SAP Datasphere innovations, as well as an expanded partnership with Collibra, represents a quantum leap in our ability to help customers drive intelligent business transformations through data.”
SAP Chief AI Officer Philipp Herzig added, “The availability of quality data and the competence to secure data privacy are amongst the biggest hurdles companies are facing when implementing AI. With our most recent innovations in SAP Datasphere, we are tackling both challenges, thus enabling a more rapid AI adoption for our customers.”
